If you're reading this blog, then wow- you must be bored. :/
Anyhoo. I'm Camille, 21, an Australian-born Filipino in Sydney. Typical girly girl. My interests are along the right-hand side of this site.

I'm in my Spanish class right now. I really can't be bothered doing any work.

I had a burger for lunch today and it was a bit burnt and smelled kind of like some weird chemical. I dubbed it 'Deathburger'. And ate it anyway.

Was late for my Cultural Studies tute this morning. Had to sit in the back and not on a table, because for some reason, some girls I have never seen before just decided to invade my class. What would be worse- being buried alive, or being conscious during cremation? With live burial, there's that whole 'OMG get me out of this underground box' claustro thing, but then with cremation, you're being burned. And the result has to be ashes, so you are freaking fully cooked until your bones are no longer solid. *shudder*

Reasons Why I Hate Cold Weather

  • Food gets colder more quickly.
  • In the words of that dolphin Snorky, "It's cold, it's wet. Every morning I wake up phlegmy."
  • Most of my wardrobe is suited to warm weather.
  • Havaianas can't be worn unless you want your toes to freeze and fall off.
  • You're asking for tonsillitis if you dare to eat ice cream.
  • It's so damn hard to get out of bed.
  • It's even harder to decide when you're really finished in the shower. I tend to just stand there under the warm water for a couple more minutes.
  • You can't rely on the air to dry your tresses anymore, unless you're happy to wait a couple of hours.
  • Runny noses.
  • Cold/flu.
  • Sneezing, coughing and sniffling.
  • Germsssssss.
  • The cold air induces loneliness.
  • Lack of motivation.
  • Frozen fingers make it hard to write in the morning.
  • Dry skin.
  • We endure shitty temperatures, but Sydney doesn't even get rewarded with snow.

Things I should do these holidays:
  • Study for the Anthropology test, which is on the first day back
  • Catch up on all those weekly readings
  • Do some research for my 1400wd Anthropology essay that requires a minimum of 6 sources
  • Watch Jarhead for Cultural Studies
  • Continue to wake at 7am and make the most of the day
  • Try to work off this excess flab
  • Realise that just because the food is there in the kitchen, it doesn't mean I should eat it all
  • Use up as much bandwidth as possible, before my dad uses it all on helicopter shit
  • Re-dye my hair
What I'll probably end up doing:
  • Read all my Anthropology notes the night before
  • Read a quarter of the weekly readings and stay behind
  • Find one source for my essay...wikipedia is a 'source'. Heh.
  • Lose my copy of Jarhead and have to rent it from Blockbuster again
  • Sleep in until 2pm
  • Spend most of my time on the couch and gain more weight
  • Consume everything that is edible in the fridge and pantry...in one sitting.
  • YooooouTuuuuuuube. (Hey, at least that's one thing to cross off that list.)
  • See how long I can keep my hair in this dirty, skunky, grey nanna state.

More colour, more delish

The long caramel looking bit is Leche Flan, pink and purple puto (steamed rice cake) topped with cheese and seriously not as bad as it sounds, and blue and pink cupcakes.

Had these at a family friend's kid's birthday party. One of the best and most colourful party dessert tables I've ever seen.

The marvel that is Deep Fried Ice Cream

What? Deep Fried Ice Cream
When? Couple of months ago
Where? Bow's Chinese Restaurant, Blacktown

I'm always so amused at how ICE CREAM can be DEEP FRIED. Apparently while it's still frozen, it's heaps colder than normal ice cream should be, so that when it goes in the frier, it doesn't melt. Or something.

Mmm...brownie.

Nut brownie made by my Aunty Marie. She rocks. Don't even try to staunch the flow of your drool.

Mmm...chocolate.

What? Minis Mix (Snickers, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way Midnight and Twix..if you couldn't read that), Lindor by Lindt and Cadbury Dairy Milk with popping candy
When? Who cares?
Where? ...

Decorate your ears as if they were Christmas trees

What? Two pairs of dangly earrings
When? A couple of weeks ago
Where? My eyebrow waxer's office
Price? $1 a pair (clearance sale)
Why? At $1 pair, why the hell not?

I just noticed a hair. Whoops.

I'm at uni early today. My tutorial isn't until 11am but I'm handing an essay in a day early.. because I can't be bothered coming in on my day off.

I also have to submit it to a site called Turnitin, which kind of freaks me out. Turnitin looks at your essay and then compares the content to a range of sources to make sure you haven't plagiarised. I haven't plagiarised (well, I'm sure I haven't...most of my ideas came out of my own head and I referenced what wasn't mine) but it still scares me.

Anyways, I only have one assignment left to work on and that's due in mid-May. Ahhhh.

I bought a new cardi from Sportsgirl yesterday and it's surprisingly very warm considering how thin and light it is.

I have a feeling that people behind me need to use this computer so I'll write again later. :P

After finishing almost half a McCain oven pizza while watching Gladiators, I am wondering if I should try to strengthen my body. Everyone knows I am a weak little shit and I am out of breath after one flight of stairs. I've also gained a solid little Winnie The Pooh belly which makes me feel so gross.

Anyways. Panic At The Disco are coming in August and I am so damn excited. They're being supported by The Academy Is... which just doubles the awesomeness. William Beckett cut his locks but I'm sure I'll still wet myself when he walks onto that stage. I'm wondering what kind of ticket I should buy. If I buy a Panic Pit ticket (general admission floor standing), I'm absolutely positive that I won't be close to the front. I won't be able to see behind all the taller girls who lined up at 6am. Hm.. I think I'll buy a ticket for the closest seated area and utilise the zoom function on my camera.

I'm procrastinating right now. (Big surprise.) I have a linguistics exercise and a thousand-word cultural studies essay due this week. Urrrgh. Everything else about uni is wonderful though. Milk Duds are sold at the uni convenience store (along with other Hershey's chocs) and I'm in looove.

I've decided not to get a new laptop anymore because the one I have now isn't dead yet. I'm thinking about using my money to buy some new clothes instead. The weather is now cold (damn it!) and I am in desperate need of cardigans and jackets. I'm kind of getting sick of hoodies.. maybe I'm in the early stages of this thing called growing up. Aging issues aside, I want a jacket that is feminine but not too 'old'. And I'd like a pair of black boots too. Wish me luck in finding these items in the right style, colour and size. I'm a size 6-8 in tops and size 5 in shoes. Boooo.
