If you're reading this blog, then wow- you must be bored. :/
Anyhoo. I'm Camille, 21, an Australian-born Filipino in Sydney. Typical girly girl. My interests are along the right-hand side of this site.

LOL

Oh my goodness, The Adventures of Spot is on TV right now. I remember this show so well. I loved it. I'm sure I even had the books, which I'm sure came before the show. Just seeing Spot again is bringing the biggest and silliest smile to my face.

I wish they could've kept Postman Pat and Fireman Sam like this, instead of 'modernising' them. I wish my little sister could experience those shows the way I did.

I wish my mom would stop giving in to fundraising.

I've placed it next to me and I'm seeing how long I can resist.

MY HEADPHOOOOONES

I've narrowed down my headphone wish list to 4 models.

Skullcandy Hesh

Skullcandy Low Rider

Sony Ear-Clip

Panasonic Ear Candy

The main factor is how I'll look wearing them when I'm out. Second is how well they'll stay. I have stupid ears, so I'm not sure about the Panasonic ones, which are really earphones. And the Sony ones might not grip well on my small ears, and they might hurt after a while.

HELP ME DECIDE!

I'm So Ronery

Think I'll watch that movie today. Since it is my first day of freedom and I can do anything I want! ...After doing laundry for my mom, of course. Grr.

There's an advanced screening of Bee Movie at work tonight. Think I might go to that. I heard there's some 'word of mouth' screening of Juno coming up, and I really really really want to see that. Michael Cera is amazing. *drool*

HOLD UP- just got a text. It's from Katrina asking what time I'll be at TAFE, dated yesterday at 3pm. Fuck I hate this phone sometimes. Sometimes I get texts from several days ago. It makes people think I'm a friggin snob.

Alala Alala (8)

GOD CSS ARE FUCKING AWESOME.

Did my final exam tonight. Freedommmmmmmmm. I usually snigger at people who use up all the exam time, but I left the room when there was about 20minutes left. I really didn't think I'd stay that long :S Fucking hell I'm so stupid- I put my student ID card in my pocket, which is a bastard of a pocket really, it's like half the depth of a normal jeans one. And what do you know, when I get home, guess what I've got? Empty fucking pockets. I sure hope it's just in the car, because I've looked and looked and it's not in my bag. AAAAAAAARGH. I need that card. Full train and bus fares are fucking ridiculous- even when I don't travel that far. And plus, I dread someone finding it and what they would do with it. Please please please hand it in to the TAFE office, person-who-has-picked-it-up. Even if you've drawn a moustache and glasses on it, seriously, I need it back.

Gross.

Last night I had the most bizarre meal I've ever ordered. As I skimmed the menu, I thought 'baked porkchops and rice' sounded good, so I went with that. Then when it was placed in front of me, I couldn't help but just stare at it in disbelief.

It was like some weird mix of battered porkchops, lasagne sauce and fried rice. I think whoever came up with this dish was a little too enthusiastic. The picture shows you how much I ate could tolerate.

What? Baked porkchops and fried rice
When? Last night
Where? Sun Ming, Eastwood

Mmmmmacaroons.

Mom, Chelsea and I made macaroons today.

Ever been to a Filipino birthday party?

Compared to other Filo parties I've been to, the amount of food on this table isn't much. :P The food at this party was pretty good, had some new things I've never seen at Filo parties, but it also missed some foods that I thought were Filo party staples.

Here we have:

  • Sandwiches (two kinds: egg and cheese pimiento)
  • Lychee and almond jelly
  • Cassava cake (..it's like..I can't explain it. Google or try it yourself.)
  • Ensaymada (my high school friends loved this 'sugar bread' at my 16th birthday, and I think they still do :P It's basically just a sweet bread, topped with a bit of glaze, sugar and often a bit of grated cheese.)
  • Bread rolls and butter (hidden)
  • Vol-au-vents
  • A huge-ass ham
  • Macaroni (OMG this was so good. I went back for seconds, thirds, and I think I stopped at 28ths.
  • Empanada (a Spanish pastry filled with bits of chicken, peas and other stuff mashed together)
  • Ube birthday cake (ube is a purple yam. Dunno what it really looks like but it's used in so many Filipino desserts and I like it.)
  • aaand last but not least, the chocolate fountain. With strawberries, waffles and marshmallows. *dies*

What it could've had:

  • Lechon! (suckling pig)
  • Rice
  • Puto (steamed rice cake)
  • Spaghetti with sausage (the macaroni made up for it though)
  • Leche flan! (dessert similar to creme caramel but creamier and sweeter and better)
  • Palabok (thick rice noodles)
  • Pancit (vermicelli stir fry..I think)

OMG I LOVE CLOTHES.

What? Yellow Colcci dress
When? Last Monday
Where? Zero Clearance Outlet, Westpoint Blacktown
Price? Was $170, reduced to $40 (75%off)
Why? Because it fit! Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a dress that fits my stupidly awkward body?! And the price was quite nice too :P

PS- Those are two different pics but I can't tell the difference either.

Everything That I Will Ever Need, You're Just So Beautiful To Me

That's from One Step Closer by Short Stack. I love that band. So much.

It's 9:20am and I'm still lying in bed. Just on my sk3 blogging (obviously) and listening to mp3s. Step By Step by NKOTB. What is it with me and songs about steps?

Got a whole family of bludgers today. I knew it when I heard mom throw up this morning. I thought to myself, please be a really bad migraine and not a brother or sister. But it's okay, I'm sure it's the former. Though it doesn't explain why my dad and sister needed the day off too.

My sister had a reconciliation preparation (lol) meeting last night. It was held in the library of my old primary school. It hasn't changed much at all. There's just more space and computers. Grug, Franklin and Mr Men books are still where I remember them, as is the electric pencil sharpener. The picture of the white seal is still on the back wall. Paintings and drawings still hang from the string extending from wall to wall, resembling a clothesline. The reconciliation DVD featured songs by Monica Brown. Ahh God bless Monica Brown. Growing up and going to a Catholic school, you could not escape her songs. They were so darn catchy. Uncool, but catchy.

Election is this Saturday. I know who I'm voting for. Urgh I'm going to have to vote early in the morning because I have work that day. Work sucked last week because I spent most of it in front of the popcorn machine, and it was a fucking hot day.

Well I'd better get up. I'm hungry. lol.

Saturday arvo...

Fuck. My iTunes just gave me a scare. I just thought I'd lost several gigs of my beloved music, because when I opened iTunes, there was nothing there. I checked the iTunes folder and there weren't any files or folders. After some Googling, I found a way to get it back. And thank God. I mean, sure, I could've just used some third-party software to take the songs from my iPod, but I've done that before, and it takes long...so fuck that. My added dates and play counts are gone, but oh well.

Saw The Heartbreak Kid yesterday. It was shit. Well, I laughed a couple of times, but it was mostly fucking stupid. Then something went wrong with projection and it ended abruptly. Oh well. It's not like I paid for my ticket anyway.

Mom says we're having steak for dinner and I am so fucking excited. Last night we had fish and chips (well, I had calamari and chips) from a place in St Mary's. They are awesome. Not like Sea King in Westpoint Blacktown. They have gone downhill. Their drink fridges are only 1/4 stocked, they don't have EFTPOS, they have dumbass staff and don't get me started on the quality of the food. So disappointing. I loved buying my lunch from there at the beginning of the year.

I'm previewing the new Eagles album on Bigpond Music. Not that I actually buy my music from there- it's the first site I found with track previews (Amazon doesn't have previews for this album for some odd reason). Anyhoo I think I prefer their old stuff.

I have work tomorrow. Last night, I missed a call. Probably trying to get me to fill a shift. Fuck that. Everytime I do a shift at night, I always get out half an hour to an hour late. And it shits me and it shits my parents who have to wait for me in the car outside, not knowing what the fuck is going on. Especially shitty was how I'd work my ass off during my shift in the hope of being able to leave on time, yet some of the others would just chat and go off into other areas. And there is a certain supervisor who...okay, I'll stop now. Because one: I might get into trouble; two: my workmates will think I'm even more of a bitch than they thought; and three: my head might explode.

Bing Bang Diggariggadong (8)

Got the new issue of CLEO in the mail today. Yet another magazine with my girlcrush on the cover. *swoon*

Was fucking hot today. But I shouldn't complain, of course. I asked for this weather. And I would still choose a scorcher of a day over a rainy, cold one.

Almost finished reading Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist while waiting for Mike to finish his job interview. Just a couple more pages to go. Think I'll read it after I post this.

Lately, my sister's been watching some creepy kids show from Iceland called Lazytown. The puppets look so fucking weird, but that damn song at the end is catchy. And my hair can't compare to Stephanie's cute pink wig- it's awesome.

I got pissed off when I went grocery shopping yesterday. Woolworths didn't have the assorted pack of Freddos. I know what you're thinking- big deal, right. But that pack has rainbow Freddos, which have been my favourite since I was liiiittle. They really take me back. Had to settle for damn Caramello Koalas.

I have my final class test for marketing tomorrow. Can't wait to get it over and done with. Reminds me, I should go study.

Soooo good on a hot day.

What? Krispy Kreme Sundae (I chose: Original Glazed donut, with one scoop of Cookies and Cream [Kreme?] and one scoop of Chocolate Crackle)
When? This afternoon
Where? Krispy Kreme Blacktown

Will you go to prom with me and dance and dance and dance and dance and dance and dance (8)

Today wasn't bad for a Monday. Had McDonald's for breakfast, the silly girl at the register didn't notice that 'ADD HASH' was written on the order slip and asked if I wanted a hash brown. :S The class today was just a presentation and judging of the advertisements we made for an assignment. My advertisement didn't make it into the top 3, but I don't mind. As long as I get a credit or pass, I'm fine.

I noticed a Zero clearance outlet in Westpoint and decided to have a look. Very very very very good idea. I found a beautiful yellow dress which retailed for $170. I scored it for $40! And it fits oh-so perfectly. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a nice looking XS/6 dress? I'll post pics soon.

You've probably noticed from my previous posts that I've been reading my old blogs. I saved them all before I took the site down. The 16-year old me is a wonderful character. I have to laugh as I read because there are some things about me that haven't changed, and some things that have changed completely. Oh, the stupid things I did, and the stupid feelings I felt for stupid boys..

Grrr. I was hoping the Australian Idol top 2 would be Carl and Matt. Natalie Gauci can fuck off.

Anyways. I love having pink hair again. :)

One of my favourite scenes from The Meaning of Life

Hanging Out At Blacktown Westpoint

Good luck trying to understand what is being said.

Fuck I'm sore.

Yes, I got a Nintendo Wii. My new addiction to Wii Tennis has given me a sore back and sore left shoulder.

But I'm not the only one addicted. I woke up and went to the bathroom at about 4am, and heard my mom turn the washing machine on (well of coouurrsse). Then I heard her turn the Wii on, and start a game of Wii Bowling. Laughed, went back to sleep. I woke up at around 7, and she was still playing, and the other family members were still asleep. :|

I bleached my hair white yesterday. Whiter than it's ever been. It felt like string cheese. Eww. I'm getting it dyed pink today. YES. I loved my pink hair at the beginning of the year, so I'm trying it again. I wish my hair could just start naturally growing out pink. That would be fucking awesome and cost-effective.

The question "What do you want for Christmas?" has been popping up again. Even I don't know the answer when I'm asked.

I think the only way to stop playing the mp3 I have of Marty Simpson's American Baby is to delete it off my computer. And phone. And iPod.

Welcome Back, Kotter - "Up your nose with a rubber hose!"
Pokemon - Never understood how to play with the cards but I loved the show.
Sailor Moon - The best superheroine of all time, IMHO.

Music
Spice Girls - Zig-a-zig-ah!

Aqua - ..yeah you know them.

MotorMouth - A motorised lollipop rotator. It was awesome.

Bindeez Recall

I have an 8-year old sister, and she loves these. The only real problem I had with them was that they would take forever to stick. I'd always lift an edge ever-so-carefully to see if it was ready, and then I'd end up with all these damn Bindeez rolling around the table.

Bindeez are apparently being recalled because some children swallowed a "large amount" which led to poisoning. Can I just ask.. where were the parents? This is clearly a toy that requires adult supervision. And to eat them? The 2-year old, I can understand. But the TEN-YEAR OLD? What the fuck is wrong with that kid? Back to the 2-year old, hello parents- Bindeez are for kids ages 4 and up. There is a fucking warning on the back that says "WARNING: Not suitable for children under 3 years in case of unforseen use, especially of small parts and small balls [*snort*], giving rise to harm."

Y'know, I actually learned about this in my marketing class. (Aha! 'Learn' and 'marketing class' in the same sentence!) When a company has to respond to events that may damage their reputation, it is called crisis management. It's a part of public relations. (Booyah!)

My sister has several unopened packets of Bindeez. We don't have any problems with them, but if Moose is recalling them, I guess I'll send them back. The refunded amount could go towards the family Wii fund. LOL.

Waiting And Wanting To Go Home

..at my grandparents house at the moment. Mom and my aunties are making spring rolls. *stomach grumble*

While I'm curled up here on one of the couches, let me share what comes up while my iPod is on shuffle.

  1. If You Leave - OMD Love this song. Nada Surf's cover was pretty good, too.

  2. When It All Falls Apart - The Veronicas As much as I hate to admit, their first few singles were really not that bad.

  3. Songbird - Kenny G A song that seriously reminds me of when I was little..featured in two movies I enjoy: Cars and The Master of Disguise...and the Westfield elevator.

  4. Stay (I Missed You) - New Found Glory A damn good cover, featuring Ms Lisa Loeb herself.

  5. Back Here - BBMak Is that not the most awkward band name ever? Ridiculous name aside, I love this song. It's so frickin sweet. And boybands rule.

  6. Let It Bleed - The Used My favourite song by The Used. It's catchy. Even though I don't know what it means (and probably never will), I love singing it. And failing at the scream parts.

  7. Kansa City/Hey Hey Hey - The Beatles I knew a Fab Four song was bound to turn up. I like this one. Aaaah Paul McCartney FTW.

  8. Turn Back Time - Aqua OH. MY. GOD. This was ONLY my favourite song of all my primary school years. I remember listening to the CD single all the friggin time and my then-BFF Linda asking me to sing it every lunchtime because she thought I should enter the talent quest that year. And who could forget this song as part of the Sliding Doors soundtrack? Gwyneth's best movie, IMHO. Fucking awesome tearjerker.

  9. The Golden Girls - Theme Song Shut your pie hole. I love this show.

  10. Happy Tree Friends - Theme Song A show I really loved until everyone else started loving it too. I'm a selfish bitch.

  11. Wonderwall - Oasis One of the best 90s songs.

And yay I'm going home now!

My Unbelievably Brief Australian Idol Recap

Carl- he was okay.. But for his genre, it should've been better.

Marty- first song was awesome, second wasn't bad. I like him.

Matt- HOTTT. Love him love him love him. He can do no wrong.

Natalie- Overrated. Get lost.

Sunday morning, rain is falling..

..Well, not anymore. But last night it was pretty thundery.

I'm still in bed. My sister decided to invade and now we're watching The Spongebob Squarepants Movie. I will never get sick of this movie. Ever.

"It's evil..it's diabolical..*sniff* it's...lemon-scented!"

My mom's doing laundry, as always. When is the washing machine not on? Then of course, I have to hang the clothes on the line. Grr.

I really wish I knew how depression works. Charmaine Dragun's death made me think.. Some people are so good at hiding the problems they have inside.. So how does one become depressed even with such a strong support network (family, friends)? How could one not be helped after a talk with a relative or a hug from a friend? I know for sure that would take my problems away in a second. So if someone could tell me how it all works, please do.

Things to do today:
  • Finish watching Breakfast At Tiffany's

  • Maybe finish reading Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist

  • Buy myself a classic Magnum even though I don't deserve it

  • Wish Carah a happy birthday

Blogging from my Sk3..

Just a test...
